ABOUT LIZZIE LOVEJOY

Lizzie Lovejoy is an award winning illustrator and writer based in the North East of England. Born in the Tees Valley, Lovejoy has dedicated their life to celebrating and exploring the culture and heritage of the local area. With every new project, Lovejoy explores the heart and soul of this region and its communities, hearing, writing and visually interpreting their stories and histories.

From spoken word performances at festivals and rural venues, to visual art exhibitions in Northern spaces, Lovejoy creates work for and inspired by the people they surround themselves with, as well as their own personal experiences.

Over the course of 2022, Lovejoy will be part of a variety of projects commemorating local heritage, including their solo show, WE.ARE.NORTHERN. and Queer Shores & Seas with SeaScapes CoLab.
